Road (closed circuit racing), Cyclocross and Mountain Bike sessions

Road (closed circuit racing) sessions

Saturday mornings during Gravesham Schools term 10am – 12 noon during the months of February – September.

Our fun coached road sessions run at Cyclopark on the closed road circuit. We aim to introduce riders to racing, develop those that want to take it to the next level and also welcome those that just enjoy riding and want to participate on a closed circuit in a safe group environment. We aim to develop our riders skills, fitness and endurance through fun sessions.

Riders must be confident cyclists and ideally ride a road bike. In general we welcome riders from 8 years old, however, this can be reviewed based on ability.

Cyclocross sessions

Saturday mornings during Gravesham Schools term 10am – 12 noon during the months of October – January

Our Cyclocross sessions take place at Cyclopark on the fantastic cyclocross course.

In Cyclocross races surfaces can include grass, mud, gravel and sand. Courses are short and winding (1-3km in length), enabling multiple laps to be completed within a set time (30-60 minutes depending on age and ability). Courses often feature obstacles such as hurdles and sand pits, forcing riders to dismount and carry or run with their bikes. Some courses are more ‘technical’ than others, featuring tight single-track trails, tree roots and other obstacles.

Our cyclocross sessions aim to prepare riders that want to race and those that just enjoy cyclocross and getting muddy.

Ideally riders should be competent and have a cyclocross or MTB.

In general we welcome riders from 8 years old, however, this can be reviewed based on ability.

If there is the demand for a road group we do our best to accommodate both sessions during the winter months but this is dependent on coaches.

Mountain Bike sessions

Saturday mornings during Gravesham Schools term 10am – 12 noon virtually all year round.

Our fun filled mountain bike sessions aim to give riders confidence when riding off road sections of trails and bridleways. We have coached sessions where bike handling skills are learned, and then they are put into practice with regular off site rides. Riders will need a reasonable level of bike ability before taking part.

If you are looking for your child/ren to join our sessions, please complete the form below and well be in touch. For these sessions, riders generally need to be at least 8 yrs old, and sessions will need to be booked in advance via RiderHQ website.
